Scottish artist James McIntosh Patrick (1907–1998) trained at the Glasgow School of Art and went on to develop an extensive body of work spanning oils, watercolours, and prints. His etchings, often finely worked and atmospheric. The celebrated artist gained early recognition in the 1930s as a formative landscape painter. Today, his works are held in major public collections, including the Tate and the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art.
