Roland Langmaid (1897–1956) was a British maritime artist, illustrator, and naval officer, best known for his etchings and watercolours depicting ships, harbours, and coastal life. Trained at the Royal Academy Schools, he served as a Royal Navy officer during both World Wars, and his deep familiarity with maritime subjects is evident in the technical precision and atmosphere of his work. Langmaid exhibited widely, including at the Royal Academy, and his etchings remain highly regarded among collectors of British maritime art.
